On Saturday 3rd September Harrow and District held their finals at Ladygate Bowls Club.
Rain was forecast for the afternoon but fortunately the Eastcote representatives put their foot on the accelerator and finished their matches before the rain came as forecast about 4.00pm.
Colin Williams won the singles competition defeating Keith Wiggins (Pinner).
John Nott, Norman Burwell and Ray Jeffs won the triples defeating a triple from Ruislip(Bill Vass, Ken Scott and David Barnes).
The presentation of the trophies by the H&D President Barrie Purdie had to take place indoors, but we didn't mind, as you can see from our faces!.
